Hand-Woven Rugs – Custom Order Information, Terms, & Conditions
Ragtime Rugs collaborates closely with you by phone or email to design a rug that perfectly complements your needs and the décor of your home. Please refer to the following information when placing your order for one of our hand-woven rugs.
Rug Information
Fabric & Measurements
Our rugs are made with 100% new cotton and warp. Note that these rugs are measured to the nearest inch; however, we cannot guarantee exact measurements due to the nature of hand-woven rugs. Additionally, when rugs are hand-woven using new cotton fabric, a degree of tolerance must be allowed for a slight variance in dye lots. Please allow for slight discrepancies when ordering.
Customer's Own Material (COM)
If you wish to provide your own material for use in the rug, we will calculate the yardage required and let you know how much to supply. This is a great way to personalize your rug.
Weaves
Our custom-designed rugs are hand-woven with a tabby weave threaded at 12 threads per inch. A herringbone weave is also available upon request.
Sizes
Rugs can be finished with hemmed or fringed ends. The length of hemmed rugs includes a 1.0” hem at both ends. Fringed rugs are measured from knot to knot, with a standard fringe measuring 4.0”.

Warp
Warp is the string/thread that holds the rug fabric together and creates the fringe. We offer a large selection of warp colors to match or contrast your fabric color choices. Samples are available upon request, with a limit of three samples per person.
Order Information
Pricing
Rug prices start at $17 per square foot. The herringbone weave is also available at $18 per square foot. COM weaving prices start at $14 per square foot. COM denim prices start at $15 per square foot. You can also pre-order a hand-woven sample (approximately 15.0” x 24.0”) for $45 with a lead time of 4-5 weeks.
Delivery/Lead Times
Typically, our delivery/lead time is 10-14 weeks, depending on the season and order level. Orders are placed on our schedule when payment is received.
Payment Conditions
Ragtime Rugs requires complete payment on orders under $500. For orders over $500, we require a 50% down payment at the time of the initial order. The balance and shipping costs are due upon completion of the order and before shipment. Payment is to be made by check or money order to:

Shipping
We ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS. Note that rug costs do not include shipping charges.
